Sophisticated Skills for the
Professional
This
one day course is designed to build on basic Word skills and is
particularly useful for those producing and editing large documents.
Delegates
will gain experience of the many features designed to control and manage
larger and more complex document layouts.
Delegates
should have attended the Day One and Day Two courses or have equivalent
knowledge from their own usage of the product.
By
the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Apply formatting techniques to control
text flow on large documents.
- Create columnar layouts to produce a
variety of page layout effects.
- Create controlled headers and footers in
large and complex documents.
- Create and format text styles to create
formatting consistency within large documents.
- Manage large documents using the
Outlining facility.
- Use a master document to organize and
maintain a long document by dividing it into smaller, more manageable
subdocuments.
- Insert bookmarks and cross-reference to
these bookmarks.
- Insert footnotes and endnotes.
- Control the placement of pictures and
graphics and the flow of text around the object.
- Track and manage changes made to
documents during editing or reviewing.
- Route documents for reviewing and
editing to other users via e-mail.
