Designing Professional Websites
This
two day course is valuable to those involved with presenting information
via the intranet or the World Wide Web, including web developers and
content developers. Delegates
will gain extensive hands on experience designing and developing
professional web content whilst learning how to create, manage and upload
web sites created using Dreamweaver.
Those
attending this course must have attended a Windows 95 (or more recent) or NT4 course or
have relevant working experience. Experience of using a major web browser
is essential. By
the end of the course delegates will be able to:

Recognise
techniques for successful web design and structure.

Create
basic HTML pages with simple formatting.

Add
text links and e-mail links.

Create
tables and modify the table & cell properties.

Utilise
tables for page layout.

Insert
graphics and create links to graphics.

Create
image mapping and rollovers.
-
Create
framesets, specify frame contents and set frame attributes.
-
Target
links within frames; Create
a new site and import an existing site.
-
Create
new files and folders, update and delete files.
-
Specify
local folder information and specify remote host information.
-
Connect
and upload to a server.
-
Create
new templates and define editable areas.
-
Apply
templates to documents.
-
Update
templates and dependent documents.
