Many people think that if you’ve done the job you can move into managing the team easily without any problems, but the skills involved in managing a team are very different from being part of a team. We need to make decisions as the team leader or manager and then communicate them on to people who last week we may have been having a drink with. How do we do this?

Who will benefit?

This course has been developed for anyone who is about to move into a role where they will be regarded as management or recently appointed managers, it has been based on Quasar experience in working with Housing Associations who have specific needs in this area.

  • Use the conversation cycle to communicate effectively

Course features

This course includes discussions, group work, exercises, and questionnaires. Action planning is used for the successful application of learning and future development.

*Following this course we recommend that all delegates attend a second day of training where they can review how the training has changed their approach to Management and bring to the event any issues that they have had during the intervening period. This second day is held approx 1 month after the course.
