Administration Basics
This
one day course is designed to introduce delegates to the concepts and
functionality of the Col8 and the Administrative Toolkit.
Delegates
will be learn to use the Toolkit efficiently and confidently to collate
new documents of their own design.
This
course is aimed at new or current users of Col8 who wish to increase their
knowledge and skills or at representatives of organisations considering
investing in the product who wish to understand the product features and
uses. Delegates should have a good understanding of Microsoft Word,
including the use of Templates and Styles.
By
the end of the course delegates will be able to:

Understand
the concepts of both Col8 and the Administrative Toolkit

Build
a complete document using Col8.

Create
and build their own document using the Administrative Toolkit

Create
their own CoL8 template using both standard and custom styles

Adapt
standard templates to fit in with Client specific documentation

Create
new topics from templates and apply templates to existing documents to
create topics

Create
covers, table of contents and other standard Col8 documents and use
bookmarks where required for the insertion of text

Understand
what Smartfields are and how they can be used within a document
-
Create
and position User Defined Fields and understand their use and
relevance within Col8

Create
output documentation from Col8
-
Export
developed files from Col8 to other PC’s

Understand
the Import, Backup, Restore and Update facilities within Col8
