Fast Track Introduction

This two day fast track course is valuable to those involved with presenting information via the intranet or the World Wide Web, including web developers and content developers.

Delegates will gain extensive hands on experience designing and creating sophisticated and interactive web pages. Delegates will learn how to create animated GIFs, simple rollovers and how to slice up images ready for export.

Those attending this course must be comfortable with a Windows operating system and should also have experience of the Web environment.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

Use the Preview, 2-up and 4-up.
Optimise images using JPEGs. GIFs and PNGs.
Export the Preview palette and name files for the Web.
Edit bitmap and vector images using the drawing tools and layers.
Work with editable text, use fills, patterns and gradients.
Use the button editor to create rollover buttons and use text as a rollover.
Create image slices, export slice and swap image effects.
Create a pop up menu.
Create a banner ad, use frames, onion skinning, tweening and the timing option.
Integrate Fireworks with Dreamweaver.
Export HTML files.
Use Fireworks pop-up menus in Dreamweaver.
