Navigating and Searching a Database
This
one day course is designed to introduce database users to the facilities
available within Access for extracting information.
Delegates
will be able to navigate the database in a controlled manner and extract
the required information using simple querying.
Those
attending this course should have a basic understanding of the Windows
environment and be comfortable with using a mouse.
By
the end of the course delegates will be able to:

Recognise
the advantages of storing a database electronically rather than on a
paper based system.

Navigate
the database and records within the database.

Perform
simple database queries to extract or select records from the database
according to specified criteria.

Produce
reports from tables and queries.

Create
graphs and charts from databases.

Create
summary tables or crosstabs from numeric data.

Perform
more advanced queries using the built in queries within Access.
